Take photos and scan for fashion tips, read product details and ask questions from the fashion advisor, look at the image photos and make suggestions!

Age Suitability

 

This app is requesting the 9 + age rating on the apple App Store it contains the following mature content;

 

– Advertising via a banner advert from Unity Ads with the potential child user option selected

– Infrequent mature or suggestive themes that arise from some of the fashion content provided by Ebay such as suggestive clothing shown in the adverts for clothing ( but no adult only flagged items see below ).

 

The app features many different ways to restrict mature content to make it suitable for the 9 + rating applying both to the inbuilt AI and the content from E-Bay;

 

– AI restricted questions, the user cannot freely enter text and can only select from safe ( but lots of ! ) possible question combinations that although change do not ask the AI any sensitive or mature themed questions

 

– AI model is a heavily quantised (simplified) model of small size that is suitable for light use

 

– AI output is filtered with a sensitive words list where any potential sensitive words are changed for example the word “fat” is changed to a friendly but unrelated emoticon, an additional mature word lists is also used

 

– No “AdultOnlyItem” any items flagged on Ebay as Adult Only are not seen

 

– Search filtering, the user can enter text to search for, this text is also filtered, any sensitive words results in the search text being removed

 

– Filtered words as with the AI any E-Bay items with descriptions that contain mature words that are not flagged already as mature are also rejected from being shown

 

– Only one E-Bay category – “Clothing, shoes and accessories” category number 11450 is allowed, this application only shows one category from E-Bay that pertains to fashion, searches that pertain to items that are not listed in this fashion category should not result in any results being shown

 

– No other internet content or user generated content, no content from other platforms except Ebay category 11450 is shown in this app, there are no plans to change this currently though the app may be updated in the future to allow other fashion platforms with friendly content to be shown unless in such case this would effect the age rating

 

– No parental controls just these settings – there is not an option to enable a more mature mode for this app

 

General Support

The AI Options are made for fun and comfortable viewing pleasure found in the following places; 

– The “portrait camera” option to the right of the search bar can be used to take a selfie and get some fashion tips and ask the AI some questions about yourself or a fashion product – note the image analysis takes quite a long time and is recommended to use a fast i-phone!

– Click the “text bubble” below any product to have the AI read the description and give some fashion advice, this analysis is fast and recommended for general browsing

– Click the “landscape picture” below any product to have the AI look a the photo and give a more accurate fashion advice from the photo provided, this option takes quite a long time and is recommended only for patient fashion divas with fast phones

– The pink “fashion AI” panel at the  bottom of the screen can be toggled to close the AI

– Click the “text bubble” in the pink panel to ask lots of general fashion questions of the AI, even if you don’t have a product selected!

– You can select up to two products at the same time to have the AI do a comparison

– If you select two images the AI will put the images together to do an image analysis – this also takes a long time on a slower device!

The title bar at the top of Candy Fashion can be used to operate the App, from top left to top right;

– Home button can be toggled for outfit ideas each press will show different products from our product ideas catalog 

– Wardrobe button will show hundreds of different AI models showcasing real word tested fashion outfits with different ideas and styles, each click shows different ideas from the hundreds provided!

– Wardrobe button click in to choose an outfit that you like and see real products that can be used to create a similar look, click the information button for some details about this outfit idea!

– Filter button to show colours, seasons and themes to filter selected products or chosen outfits – remember to cancel the filter by choosing the same selection again once you are finished!

– Heart cart shows your favourited products that you can click the link to take you to the online product page or remove from your cart

– Star page is for sharing a screenshot of what you like at the moment you pressed this button! Share to your other platforms or your friends!

– Paperclip help shows a useful help page

– Select a language and E-Bay API marketplace by clicking on the national flag in the top right hand corner

– Note although marketplaces represent the supported country different choices of language may not return the most possible results for example Hong Kong E-Bay marketplace listings have many English listings and very few French listings so please choose the most likely combination of language and market

– Search the fashion category on Ebay by entering your own text into the search bar

– Click the camera button to take a selfie and have the AI give you recommendations

– Products are shown in the scroll view and can be favourited with the heart

– Click on a product to show a bigger photo, some information about the product including the sub categories, price, new or used, location and delivery price as well as the sellers rating and any additional images.

– AI options are the text bubble and the image search as well as the small AI option panel at the bottom of the screen for AI fun!
